Research and Impact Monitoring
The Conservation Biology Wing of Periyar Foundation is carrying out both long term as well as short term research and monitoring programmes in Periyar Tiger Reserve and adjoining landscape. Studies include short term surveys and long term impact monitoring as well including monitoring of tigers and co-predators and elephants. Studies are also being conducted on human-wildlife conflict, impacts of ecodevelopment initiatives on the ecosystem, baseline survey, etc in and around PTR. For more reading »
